Stars In The Sky

Constellations in the sky
A thousand night-lights, shining like dawn
A star-map of the sky, drawn by gods who lived eons ago
Dashed by hands strong, hands ancient
For explorers, to find their path
Where the kings of the past lie
And the queens of old tomb
And ancestors of bygone go
Kingdom come,
Kingdom go
Stars are of eons old
Time has no effect on them
They do not grow, or age
Space does not happen, in them
A star is a mixture of heat and energy and air
Of infinite-ness and infinite-cy, a thousand and one, all combined into a universe without proportion and bounds
Stars twist, and arc, and acrobat
They whirl and swirl and whorl the pool of the universe
They dance, and spin, and ripple like ice waves
They twirl like nebulas, fly like meteors
But most importantly,
Stars are of light
An eternal, ever-seeking light
That does not burn out
Nor go away
It stays.
It stays, and is permanent.
Just like you and me.
