Hawaii was wonderful.
But I can't pretend that it was all good.
Maybe it was the city vibes, or the city bustle. But it was really hard to find my peace and calm here.
Imagine being surrounded by this:
(Just a disclaimer: turn your volume down. It can get quite loud!)
While also having things to do all day and always being on the move.
Traveling's fun, but it can be exhausting.
But I think my mind was more exhausting.
I tried to do too much. Tried to take too many pictures, too many videos, send too many Snapchats. I wanted to make sure I had enough material for a blog post, but did I leave too much for the camera, and none for myself?
This was the only time I could find true peace during the trip. When I was alone on the beach, thinking. Staring out at the waves.
When my mind could calm down, and I didn't have to rush to think. Where thoughts- came and went, and I could observe them.
It was good. It was nice.
(For this one, close your eyes, and just listen. Breathe. Feel. Be in the moment. (And also turn down your volume!) )
Make sure that your vacation is packed with fun and adventure, but also make sure that it's enough for you to handle. :)
Also, don't go crazy with the picture-taking. Some sights are better left to just yourself.
Next up: Day 5-Hiking Day.
